The original wallpaper comes from Ramjsö in Ljusdal. The Wienerjugend-style wallpaper that was sent in was produced between 1910-1920. Ramsjö is an example of how Jugend style wallpaper changed expression well into the 20th century. Inspired by the art and architecture of Vienna, the design shapes began to be simplified. But they were still upward-pointing plants. The flowers became part of the ornamentation, the stems became straight parallel lines. The shades of green remained popular. Likewise, yellow and pink.
